Power brake conversion-firewall hole.

Recommended Posts

I'm converting my 69 coupe to power disc brakes from 4 wheel manual drums. The hole for the pushrod is offset higher than the 2 mounting bolts for the original master.

In the photo there is a oval line pressed in the firewall above the existing pushrod hole. Is the correct place to cut the firewall for the new booster? The booster is an aftermarket one with an adaptor bracket to fit a 69 Mustang. All the bolts line up with the existing pedal box mounts. I just want to confirm its right before I cut.

Thanks Shaun
