I'm currently looking into converting the gallery over which is my main task before I go back to work as I should be able to fix all the forum problems from any device. barnett468 418 Report post Posted January 19, 2015 yup, random mysterious thumbnail attachments to some of my posts too. much slower from both the cell phone and my computer. horrible pastel baby blue color with stark white background makes it look a little feminine, "clinical" and boring imo . . i sure hope a guy didn't choose the colors . . the last colors were the best on the net imo. A few days ago on one post a thumbnail showing the underside of a hood was attached and I did not put it there. It wasn't a picture of mine. I've never seen it before, and it cannot be deleted. On top of that, I could not delete the entire post to try again. The full editor would also not allow me to delete the thumbnail or the entire post. Why can't a post be deleted like with the old user interface? Lastly, as I type this I see a spam thread to purchase drugs online inexpensively. The colors were chosen from the China office, we asked for Ford Corporate Blue. ;) Although it is not as much of an issue these days I wish I had the ease of which to Ban like on the old site. I could click on one post within a thread as "delete as spam" and it would give me the option right there to delete all other posts by this user and choose to Ban in an all in one setting. I didn't have to go to Admin CP and look up the member to do it. Other than that I have noticed most of what has already been posted already. We have zero smilies too, not always a bad thing though. When you do this now and see "view result" also note that over to the right a faded down arrow appears, if you hover over that and click on it a preview pane extends with a similar effect. When I was compiling the unit numbers spreadsheet, I would click on a user's profile to help figure out what body style the car was. I could only get a few posts for each user. Pakrat 1,043 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 I have noticed this as well so it wasn't personal towards anyone, I'm sure everyone who has been here a while has lost stuff, even me. I am sure it was not an easy or smooth conversion to do, I would expect some growing pains and probably for a while as well, this is going to take stages to be 100% operational without a full time IT staff on duty. Everyone's biggest and pretty much only issue was the constant SPAM (I'm guessing right now that doesn't seem too bad to some). As I see it first priority was to move things over and get things up and running over here ASAP. Next is to fix all the things that are missing or didn't make it over cleanly. Then we can move on to functionality, making things more like they were where we can. Finally, cosmetics, colors, themes, nice to haves etc... That's why Ben started this thread, just list things (any things) as you notice them and they will go on a check list, get prioritized and then ticked off one by one as time allows. Just to put it in some perspective, I have been here 10 years now, almost since the very start. I have probably the highest post count at 7,832 yet I can only recall my last 137 posts or so dating back about a year. That's a whole lot of missing history. My guess is because the content was so massive that they probably had to start from a date like a year ago and then archive the rest or it would have taken a lot more than 2 days. I know Sparky inquired about a thread of his that was archived and with a link I could undo it but I have not found where all the archives might be stored yet to see what else can be released. The thing that makes these types of sites so powerful and valuable is the ability to search for previous solutions to issues/suggestions/modifications that others have done. I am not a spammer ,dont even like spam ,tastes yucky .No drugs for sale and i don't even know what a payday loan is ,think it may be when you get your pay check and find out it is only a loan ? In the top left corner of the post window is a small square ,i don't know what it is for but it turns on and off the pics .I clicked on it and whala ,i can post pics again.
