Need help with turn signals

My turn signals sometimes work and don't.

Everything was fine today, then they stopped working again.

 

What do I check, where are the grounds?

It's probably the turn signal switch, as they are notoriously known for going bad. But first, I would go around the four corners examining the ground wires to the rear lamps, the bulbs themselves, and fidget with the wires before tearing apart the steering wheel.

Check your fuse block. I messed with mine for a week (changed switch and wires)because they didn't work and it turned out to be corrosion on the connectors where the fuse is. I couldn't believe it!

Take a look at your tail light bucket connections. The grounds are push ons. Remove the bulb and check the three options; stop,turn and running lights. This is where the circuit tester comes in handy. Same type of tests up front. While your there check for the correct bulb. I agree save the steering column for last. Electrical gremlins are a trying time consuming PITA. Stick with it you'll get it. Brian

What style flasher relay do you have installed ? Like Brian suggests, stick with the simple first.

Found that the fuse block tabs were corroded, cleaned them and all OK.
