Fast n loud!

Recommended Posts

My progress today came from a road trip.

Wife was working I had the day off so I decided to take a drive and get see what parts I could pick up.

Any of you guys see the fast n loud from MN where Richard bought the boss 429, French Lake, MN....that's where I ended up.

It was less than a 2 hour drive so it wasn't bad.

That place was huge, cars as far as the eye could see.

Ended up getting a lot of small parts out of one fastback, some out of another, also picked up an oem package shelf, oem front fender (totally rust free) and the nicest heater box ive ever seen (had to pull it myself in 90 degree heat while getting attacked by wasps).

Overall definitely a worthwhile trip.

Wow - wish we had yards like that around here. Looks like some nice parts too. Reasonable pricing?

Heater box...40 bux

Rear package shelf...10 bux

OEM front fender 100 bux

Many more small parts also but they were the big ones I got.

Yes, surprisingly reasonable. And their yard cars look as good as some of the cars I see being sold on Craigslist

Aint that the truth.

Me and a friend went looking at a 69 fastback last year before I bought the 70.

He wanted 7 grand for it and it was nothing more than a parts car and throw the rest away and the parts weren't even that great.

No frame rails left, none of the 4 torque boxes were any good, rockers were junk and so forth....
