Glenn83 19 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Just wondering if anyone on here has tried out one of the hydroboost brake assist kits out there, if so what are your thoughts on it??
fvike 173 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 I got one (Hydratech), and it is the best investment I ever made for my Mustang. It has worked flawlessly, and with a big brakes kit (I've got 13" Wilwoods), the stopping power is immense. Also, Paul at Hydratech has the best customer service I've ever have come across. Glenn83 19 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Cool!! Thanks for the response, it's gotta be better than having a vacuum pump, don't suppose you have any photos of it installed ??

Cost involved? and what extra parts are needed? Running a low vac cam and in need of help with power brakes.
gsxrken 21 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 It'll cost about $1,000 all-in. Pump, brackets, hoses, short master cylinder. And a new windshield for the first time you stomp on it. ;)
jgkurz 52 Report post Posted October 9, 2014 Just spoke to Jim at HydraTech. What PS pump did you use? They suggested a 97 F250 pump that had the ability to run two inlet lines to reduce hose complexity.
fvike 173 Report post Posted October 10, 2014 I run a KRC aluminium pump. The flow valve on it can be swapped out to dial in the flow (gpm) you want. It comes with on-pump or remote reservoir. I have a remote that I welded an extra inlet to. I just can't find a decent picture of it :/
FrozenMonkey 12 Report post Posted October 10, 2014 I'd love one of these but not for $1,000. WOW! :O I'll just keep working out that left leg.
