Who is rocking an aftermarket driveshaft?

Recommended Posts

i went with a 3.5" aluminum 1350 series from action machine inc with hybrid 1350>1310 to the 9" and 1350 with 30 spline yoke at the dodge Viper T56, length from my output shaft to the center of the U-joint was 49 13/16 (adjustable motor mounts to slide the motor back and custom trans cross member). todd at action machine was very easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and the price was in the range i wanted to pay.. 460 including shipping. if i recall i finalized the order on a Tuesday and received it on Friday of the same week. we test fit it, i wiped it down and coated it with eastwood satin clear, runs very smooth no vibration... when im ready to upgrade the 9" with 1350 im good to go.... but im very happy with it.

Got an Dynotech aluminum shaft in my 2011 V6 ... paid $684.00 for it delivered ... does this count ?? These cars have a convoluted steel 2 pc. shaft from the factory which was around 9 lbs. heavier (IIRC).

Had the steel one in my '69 re-balanced when I rebuilt the Toploader 2 years ago. Had a vibration at 70+ MPH which is now gone ... don't know if it was a worn out bushing in the back of the trans or if it was the shaft.

Dynotech 4" steel with 1350 joints each end. Can be found for under $100 on ebay (NASCAR used ones, if you don't mind used), just make sure the length works for your application. They are typically not long enough unless you are using a longer driveshaft like a T56 or C6.
