70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted July 17, 2015 Did a test fit with my fenders to see how it would align with my doors. The alignment is ok I got adjust the striker. The repo driver side door I have seem to stick out farther in the front then anywhere else which is strange. I used my rubber hammer to hit it back in as best I could. 70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted August 12, 2015 Here is a little update. I got the front almost assemble. Question tho about the front valance all the other bolts line up accept the 2 that bolts to the frame. I read somewhere that some 69 and 70 mustang front valance didn't bolt up to the frame. 69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted August 13, 2015 If I recall, they don't attach to the frame rails. There are some brackets that go between the valence and the bumpers and bumper brackets, and fasteners to the fenders and grill and hood latch supports. http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/53081-front-valance-install/

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted August 14, 2015 Got the front end back together. Waiting on a few little parts like side marker lights front&rear and rear bumper bracket bolts since the old ones were rusty and 1 broke when I removing it.

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 4, 2015 I have a quick question. The stang won't start I'm just trying to figure out is it my starter solenoid or start. Video of what sound it makes. Battery is good Watch "1969 mustang" on YouTube https://youtu.be/wSQPAjJX08Q
Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted September 8, 2015 I cannot tell from the video. Does it click, and not spin? Can you take a pic of your solenoid? Is is a direct replacement?
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 9, 2015 I replaced the starter solenoid and it still doesn't even crank all I hear is a clicking noise. I think it's the starter tho. Next month I'm going to replace it since I'll also be rewiring the whole car with aaw.
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 9, 2015 I came up with a wild idea and thinking of using the 2015 mustang rear tail lights in my 69. Wonder if it would look dumb lol.

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 10, 2015 O ok didn't know that. The stang has a regular starter. I'm probably going to upgrade to a mini starter
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 11, 2015 It turn out not to be my start and end up being my battery lol. I finally bought a battery starter

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks and I got the AAW harness in yesterday. Going to start wiring the car this weekend.
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted October 5, 2015 Started rewiring my car on Friday. It took me about day to get out the old harness. I started in the trunk area since it's the easiest and worked my way to the front. I finished the rear and started routing the wires I needed thru the firewall. It's not hard to just tedious and time consuming. 1 Footcutter11 reacted to this

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted November 10, 2015 Wiring is pretty much done on the car. I just got order new gauges since I got one of those year 1 gauges bezel and I got me another project. It's a 93 ford f150 I always liked those body style.
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted December 2, 2015 Been working on both the truck and the stang. Got to stang wiring all done finally. The only thing I don't like about the American auto wire harness is that the new headlight switch they give u doesn't lock the pin in easily I'm still trying to get the pin in and the wiper plug doesn't go into the existing wiper motor plug. On the truck I had to repair one of the leaf spring bracket since it rusted off so I replaced both and replaced both leaf springs. I also sanded down the frame and painted it with por
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted December 2, 2015 I got the truck frame painted with some por15 and put back together. I got my gauges from Auto Meter and started wiring it up to my new cluster from year 1. I also had to drill 3 hole on the gauge cluster for my left, right and high beam indicator. I got 3 snap in lamp bulb's from radioshack to use as my left, right and hight beam indicators.
70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted December 22, 2015 Well I got the truck back together after painting the whole frame with por15 and changing the leaf springs. Now I can go back working on the Mustang.

70Nightmare 20 Report post Posted February 10, 2016 Idk I'm going to get it running first. Where it got hit the pedals got pushed up so I can't start ut. I'm going to cut out the drive side floor pan so I can push the clutch pedal down so I can start the car
