Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted October 6, 2015 I liked the other hood, whatcha doing to it? I am working on tweaking it, and starting to get the final shape. The cowl may or may not be temporary, but it is good to ride with a hood while I am working on the other one.

Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted October 6, 2015 I have always wanted to do a quick change rear end but it would require a bit of re working the center trunk floor and a custom fuel tank to clear .A fuel cell would work

We will see how this one works. Third member was pretty easy to put together. Just needed A small amount of clearance on the pinion support bearing boss. Rsmach1 71 Report post Posted October 8, 2015 Keep the cowl hood as a temporary, anyone can buy a cowl hood, the other one looks really cool and is unique, and I'm a huge fan of different LOL.
Rsmach1 71 Report post Posted October 8, 2015 I Suppose it could be. I've looked at those housings, think the modular design is cool. Curious to see how they hold up. I first saw em here. http://store.speedmaster79.com/p-4902-ford-9-heavy-duty-modular-differential-housing-tubes-ctl-combo-whardware.aspx

Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted October 11, 2015 Your build is definitely pushing me in the direction of putting side-pipes on my car. I get lots of good comments. Not sure yet if I will cover them with a side air dam.
Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted October 15, 2015 Well, the side pipes are cool, but I am tired of breathing exhaust. Going with this: https://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=15819&searchTerm=15819

Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Sad to see the side pipes go, but real tired of sucking exhaust fumes. New Magnaflow 3" system installed.
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Nice. Are the pipes dumped or out the back?
Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Nice. Are the pipes dumped or out the back? For now they are straight out under the axel, out to about where the gas tank would be (I use a in the trunk fuel cell). I will be working on over the axel down the road with dual tips, and an air splitter, but I wanted to keep her running. I miss the look of side pipes, so some aluminum side air dams are next. It is a little quieter, but the HP increase is noticeable. She hits hard in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th now (X pipe??), where as before it was just 3rd.
Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted November 5, 2015 Got a little artsy fartsy with the tail pipes. I like it.

SM69Mach 68 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Like the rims and think it will match with the car well. I will be honest to say I like the look of the car better without the side pipes. 1 Footcutter11 reacted to this

I'm torn on the pipes. I love the new sound, but the side pipes had a cool factor a lot of people liked. I may need some cutouts. :)
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 I like them and almost bought a set. The five spoke is always a nice choice. Those newer Bullitt style are nice and very popular. If the perfect size is not critical for you, many used sets are always up for sale, at least around here. 1 Footcutter11 reacted to this

SM69Mach 68 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Too bad you aren't closer. I have a set of Chrome 17X8 and 18X10 that I am no longer using since I switches to the black wheels. Cutouts would be nice. I thought about those for mine too. 1 Footcutter11 reacted to this
