Tony Coupe-r 20 Report post Posted September 26, 2013 Would like to replace my door panels with (what used to be) deluxe-style door panels... I've been doing some research, and there are a variety of them available- what are the best choices for quality, fit, price? Also, couldn't find any that had speaker holes, is this something that most have added themselves? Thanks, -Tony 9 IsobelTic, SamellaEr, Ronaldbaf and 6 others reacted to this

miketyler 15 Report post Posted September 27, 2013 I bought them and am happy. Here's a decent review on them: http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vintage-mustang-forum/650403-1970-deluxe-interior-door-panels.html
Tony Coupe-r 20 Report post Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks for the guidance folks. I noticed these don't come with speaker holes, so I'm assuming it's something I'll have to do myself... Thanks again! -Tony
very fat and very dumb 40 Report post Posted February 7, 2015 Mustang Market, hands down. The speaker holes are market on the door panel and can be removed if you have speakers.
Dave R. 85 Report post Posted April 11, 2015 I used TMI deluxe panels on my '69 Mach 1. They look great Not sure what problems mustangstofear had with the ones they did. mustangstofear does sell another brand. I have no dog in this fight. I used TMI's seat foam and seat covers also. No problems. Dave R.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted April 11, 2015 My comparsion was an unbias opinion of the to company's and has nothing to do with what we sell. The TMI plastic backer was thinner and there was no perforation for the speaker cutout. I think I'll try the Mustang Market out on the next one and see how they are. Dave R. 85 Report post Posted April 11, 2015 mustangstofear, how many manufacturers of door panels are out there? Hundreds of places to buy them but how many makers are there? Drake is just reselling what someone else makes is my guess. Just like CJP, NPD, Year One, etc. I am not being critical of anyone. I think that most of the parts that we use in our hobby come from a limited number of makers. I have found the parts that I used that were certified as "Made with Genuine Ford Tooling" to be better fitting and quality.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted April 11, 2015 I would say there is at least 3 different company's making the 69-70 door panel, maybe more.
Dave R. 85 Report post Posted April 12, 2015 Which maker is your choice, mustangstofear? For stock type panels. Not stainless or carbon fiber. Dave R.
