miketyler 15 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 I was looking for some plug wires on the Summit website this morning and came across this interesting tidbit. I have read that they purposely add the very strong odor to fuel for safety reasons during manufacture. Does this just counter that process? How much of this stuff do you think they actually sell?? Apparently it adds no performance benefit, just adds a nice floral aroma to your fuel. :shaun: I don't see guys lining up at the door for this but one cant help but wonder what "Groovy Grape" scented fuel might actually smell like? Discuss. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/plu-19769-
Big Secz 26 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 I could see where this would be useful in older cars. How many times have you put something in your trunk only for it to come out smelling like gas, or had the gas smell seep it's way into the passenger area? miketyler 15 Report post Posted September 15, 2013 Yes, it may have its place on the parts store shelf it just seems really odd. Apparently this stuff has been around awhile, I guess someone must be buying it.
