AndrewMitcham 10 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 My re-wiring project is going well except I discovered my ignition switch connector is partially melted. This is the plug that the ignition switch assemby plugs into. Painless Performance recommended a part from CarQuest called US45H, which is apparently no longer made by the manufacturer (Standard). I've called dozens of places to see if one can be located but have no luck. Before I try to find a pick-a-park junk yard, I thought I'd ask on here. Can anyone give me a lead on this rare part? 69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 NPD sells a splice-in replacement. Pricey but it looks like what you need. http://www.npdlink.com/store/products/product-184727-0.html?shop_by_year=1969

Midlife 814 Report post Posted July 16, 2013 I'd sell you one at half that price but I need to keep all of the good ones I have for customers who have damaged their switches. Those switches were used for Mustangs only in 68 and 69. Doesn't Motorcraft still make that switch?
danno 128 Report post Posted July 16, 2013 If you do end up at the bone yard, I think all Ford trucks from about 1968 to 1978 also used the same plug on the switch. Trucks did not have the switch on the steering column until much later. Cars changed in 1970.
