Wycked69 20 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 Check your PCV valve (Postive Crankcase Ventilation). Could simply be its not venting your crankcase and there is no place for the pressure to go.
BlueB302 10 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 Do a compression test. Wet and dry test. Probably find a bad one.
1969vert 55 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) You can do a leak down test also..unless the pcv aint working usually oil chunkers are close to being done...you can also put a thin piece of paper over the breather on the oposite side of the valvecover..it should stick with the engine running..if its puffing and breathing you might have a bad hole or 2... rawlinss 14 Report post Posted July 9, 2013 Motor is freshly rebuilt. Will be replacing PCV valve this week. Have a cheap one on there now and since they don't cost much anyway seems like the best place to start. Came from a car show too that I won Best Ford. Some Haters may have pulled the dip stick out. 1st time we have had anything like this happen. Has been running like a charm....
