One speed works on heater switch

I installed my battery for the first time in 20 years last night to check everything since putting my dash back in and my heater switch is only working at wide open speed. The lower speeds are not working at all. Any ideas?

Bad fan switch or blower motor resistor.

Check both for proper operation.

I purchased the 65/67 for my 69 and the med and high now work, but I don't know if the problem with low is with the switch or the resistor. For $12 I took a shot and having med and high turned out was better than nothing.

no sarcasm intended Mine went bad a few years back and it took a long time to find a replacement.
