RealGT 10 Report post Posted December 15, 2012 1969 Mustang Fastback GT in Wimbledon White with Light Blue Kiwi Vinyl Interior VIN 9T02M156612 Located in Burlington, NC 27215. This is one of 727 GTs with these paint and trim codes. Just over 100K original miles with original and still very strong 351W-4V. 3-speed in the floor. Purchased new at County Ford in Graham, NC and stored under shed since 1981. Now garaged. Handwritten early service records from dealership up until 1978. This is a running, driving GT with recent repairs including new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rubber lines, intermediate and rear steel lines, master cylinder and all wheel hardware. New radiator, hoses, thermostat, heater core, heater blower motor, belt, spark plugs, points, condenser, battery, battery cables and voltage regulator. New Firestone Indy 500 tires on repainted original GT rims. New Holley 600 Street Avenger carburetor with original rebuilt Autolite 4300 included. New driver's floor pan properly welded in and sealed. New exhaust with H-pipe from manifolds back. New front strut bars and bushings and sway bar bushings. Front end alignment done after suspension parts were installed. All work completed in about the past 90 days. The body of this GT is very honest. 75% of the car still has its original, well worn, Wimbledon White paint. Front valance, one headlight surround and hood replaced over 30 years ago. Hood was from standard coupe without factory hood scoop installed on car originally. Floor pans have surface rust but are solid along with frame and torque boxes. Front shock towers have no stress cracks. Some filler in hood and on driver's side rocker and rear quarter from about 30 years ago. Rust in lower rear quarters, rear taillight panel and door corners. Pictures detail all panels. Additional images available upon request. Interior is original including optional Philco AM radio. Radio creates static through center speaker. New antenna. Aftermarket 8-track installed in glove box in 1979 at Stereo Village in Burlington, NC with receipt. Condition unknown. New lap belts installed. The engine runs well and I drive it monthly. It does not overheat nor have I noticed any smoke. Marti report to accompany sale that indicates: Built at Metuchen Mustang Sportsroof 351-4V Engine Wimbledon White Paint, Ford #1619-A with Black-out Hood Treatment Light Blue Kiwi Vinyl Standard Bucket Seats Charlotte Ordering District 3.25 Conventional Axle Ratio Three-Speed Manual Transmission Black-Out Hood Treatment GT Equipment Group Three-Speed Manual Transmission F70X14 Wide Oval Belted Tires White Sidewall Tires Console AM Radio Tinted Glass-Complete This is an excellent restoration candidate that you can drive while in process. It has been a southern car since new and never owned outside a 20 mile radius of where it was purchased. Since the photos, I have installed the right highbeam light with all trim.
