70Mach03 12 Report post Posted November 16, 2012 Here's a plug for Jerry's newest Rare Finds book. It's all Mustangs and Fords. It's got 30 chapters/stories about rediscovered cars. There's the story of finding Larry Shinoda's 1969 Boss 302 Prototype which was actually a R-code 428 CJ car. Another is about what is thought to be the number one 1969 Mach 1 built. There are a couple of others about 1969 Boss 302's and Shelby GT-500's. There is also one about the 1969 Shelby GT-350 prototype with a G-code Boss 302 engine, and finally a 5-page story on my former 1970 428 SCJ convertible Mustang which was featured in a Mustang Monthly Rare Find's column earlier back in January 2012. You can pick up a copy from Books a Million, Barnes and Noble, or order off Amazon.com at a nice discounted price. http://www.amazon.com/Jerry-Heasleys-Rare-Finds-Mustangs/dp/1613250347/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353097667&sr=8-2&keywords=jerry+heasleys+rare+finds One of our forum members, Max Power (actually Bob Wilson), is the sales manager for the publisher of that book (CarTech Inc) and owns a nice looking 1969 fastback.
