jbrooks 15 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 I have a 69 mach 1 with sport racing mirrors, they have loosened up and will not stayin place, it keeps falling tward the ground after being adjusted. this problem is on the passenger side mirror!!! is there any way to tighten it up so it will stay in place?? it is loose where the ball adjustments set into the back of the mirror it's self !!!! thanks much 5 Hermanma, bobbynb2, Barrerakes and 2 others reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

wilcoxfe 10 Report post Posted January 24, 2015 I carefully took the mirror off the car, and with some inspection realized how to take it apart. Then I put a towel around it - to keep from scratching it - and put it in a vice. With a couple careful whacks with a hammer and a punch on the part that swivels (outside part of the ball & socket) I sufficiently tightened the mirror.
