badwolf4822 10 Report post Posted July 31, 2012 I have found all sorts of fiberglass hoods, but I want to keep the body steel. I just don't trust fiberglass not to crack right after i get a paint job.
jholmes217 65 Report post Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Do a search on Ebay for "steel cowl hood scoop" and you will find some steel scoops. I haven't seen a steel hood with a steel scoop sold as a package, but it might be out there. Edited July 31, 2012 by jholmes217
Rudolph Schenker 14 Report post Posted July 31, 2012 I looked for a steel cowl hood for my 69, to my knowledge it's not available. I went with fiberglass. I'm happy with it. Lot's of fiberglass cars with good paint and no problems. :thumbup1:
badwolf4822 10 Report post Posted August 1, 2012 I'm intending to use the car for dirt track racing, would there be any issue with a fiberglass hood cracking the paint easy?
