Thanks Vic. I am officially "semi-retired" as I will only be working about 20 hrs a week starting the new year for some Mustang money. My wife & I live just west of Martinsville in the town of Horsepasture. We are about 10 minutes from the North Carolina border.

In between some house projects I am back working on the Mustang. I got the wiring for the oil pressure & the temp senders hooked to the AAW harness.

I have been working on the wiring in the trunk the last few weeks. I am doing a little at a time, like baby steps to get it done. Thanks to everyone who posted pics or responded to my post looking for info how to run the taillight harness so I can keep plugging along with the wiring. Today I ran the ground wires for the taillights & side lights to the ground screw on the trunk support.

Hey Mike, looks good.  Not sure if you are planning to use any LED tail lights.  I have them on both my cars, they have a built in sequential function. Not that expensive, and they look cool.

Finished the wiring in the trunk for the tail lights, backup lights, license plate light, electric fuel pump fuel sender, & installed the tank.

Hey Mike, looks good. Not sure if you’re using a VHX Dash or not, but on mine, I ran a separate wire to the fuel tank to provide a ground for the VHX fuel gauge indication.  I grounded it at one of the screws that attaches the tank to the body.

On the American auto wire harness, the fuel sender wire is brown I believe. I just ran another black wire next to that all the way back to the trunk and on the other end there is a place to attach the ground wire on the VHX input box.  I think it’s right next to the sender wire.

I did this because I’m pretty sure that the manual said that was something that you should do.

Another tip is make sure you install your tail lights before your rear bumper.

Also, install the license plate lamp assembly into the bumper, before your mount it. This will make things a lot easier.

   I am planning on using the RTX gauges. I ran the 2 ground wires one from the sender & one from the fuel pump to one of the gas tank bolts.

Over the last week I started bending the new fuel lines. I got the one from the tank to where I am going to place the inline filter made up & a piece cut for the next piece that will run from the filter to the torque box hole. I also had to cut away 2 of the old parking brake cable brackets that are going to be in the way of the new fuel lines since the brackets are no longer needed since I went to a center mount parking brake.

Got the Mustang up on jack stands & figured out where I want to place the inline fuel filter. I am going to mount the bracket & shield to the l/s rear floor pan out near the frame rail. I am going to drill a couple holes in the floor pan to install a couple nutserts to make it easy to remove when needed. This week I have to get to the welding supply store & exchange the empty bottle for a full one so I can weld in the sub-frame connectors.

Speaking of fuel pumps Mike, I just installed a Carter fuel pump which has an attached fuel filter. Saves some extra work.

Nice shop and driveway....don't see any burnout marks on the driveway yet.....

My buddy used a "mini-split" to cool/heat his shop that is about the same size as yours.  He also has a few ceiling fans.   The heat in the summer will likely be more of an issue than being cold in the winter.

Bob, that fuel pump is cool, old school. I had a '64-1/2 Mustang with a "D" code 289 4 barrel years ago, and it had that style pump.  I think that some of the old Ford 260 V8s used them as well.  That is a solid pump.
