I got an e mail back from AAW with the info I needed so I did the wiring hookup on the new 3G alternator & did the final install.

So, where did the brown wire go to on the alternator?

There are 3 wires that come out of the plug on the regulator on the alternator marked A,S, & I. A plugs goes to the power stud on the alternator, S plugs in to the alternator, & I goes to ignition, that is where the brown wire in the AAW harness goes to.

Today I installed the radiator, hooked up the cooling fans, & started to install the hoses.

With the radiator installed I have about 1" clearance between the water pump pulley bolts & the cooling fan shroud.

Good job with the clearance.  Those fans you used were perfect to avoid the water pump pulley

Today was a rainy day & I could not work outside so I was in the garage & started wrapping the engine bay harness & where the harness runs in front of the radiator.

Thanks Tgriffin91, the compliments get me motivated to keep plugging away, except the work on the Mustang is going to be slowing to a crawl because my wife & I are looking to purchase & house in southern Virginia & sell the one we are living in & move out of NJ where the taxes are getting out of control.

Been quietly following your build over the past year or so. Nice work! I always learn something new. I was born and raised in NJ, move out to DE in 2013. Big difference in cost. The high property taxes in NJ is like having a second mortgage. Good luck with your search and eventual move. I hope to get to see the stang, maybe at a south jersey car show before you leave the state.

Gary, here are the pics of the center mount parking brake you asked for.

Here is the trans tunnel support panel & cover I made,

Here is the center mount parking brake handle installed. I used a parking brake handle from a 1987 Mustang,

Here is the hook up to the handle. I used Lokar universal parking brake cables, & Ford Racing parking brake cable front pt# - M-2810-A that hooked to the handle. The threads on the gold piece that came with the lokar cables where the cable ends attach is different threads then the Ford front parking brake cable, so I re-tapped the threads to fit the Ford front cable threads. That way I could thread the gold piece on to the threaded end of the Ford front cable & used a lock nut in the front & back of the gold piece.

This is how I routed the cables back to the drum brakes backing plates. They just hook to the drum brakes just like the stock cables.

I grew up in Piscataway and moved to Jackson in 1987. Lived there until 2013 when I moved to DE.

I miss the shore and old friends in Jersey, but otherwise I like Delaware.

I used a generic e brake cable kit with my rear brakes. Hooked it up a bit differently. Basically followed the same route as the factory cables and used the factory mount locations,, pedal and front cable.

It was a beautiful day today so I pit the Mustang up on ramps in the rear & jack stands in the front & proceeded to clean off the undercoating where the sub frame connectors are going to weld to.

Hi Vic, Now that the weather is cooling off I will be back working on the Mustang between trips to southern Virginia where my wife & I purchased a house. The house is just west of Martinsville in Virginia which we are going to renovate to use as our house when we retire in 2 years, & we will sell the house we are currently living in here in NJ. Here is a pic of the house. The house sits on 1 acre of land & there is enough room to put up a 2 car garage to the left of the carport. I have to get more welding gas before I can weld in the sub frame connectors.

 I have not posted here in a couple years, & the Mustang took a back seat to home renovation. Now that the house is where we want it & we got the garage/shop built the work will continue on the Mustang. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

New garage/shop with our spare truck 99 Explorer Sport, my newest DD 2005 F150 regular cab 2WD, & my wife's DD 2021 Bronco Sport. We did not plan to have them all red it just worked out that way.

The Mustang & my wife's Kawasaki Motorcycle in their new home.

Inside complete interior spray foam insulated & the lower area is painted the brightest whit we could find to help with lighting. We have 4 LED lights in the ceiling fixtures, & 4 (2each side) LED light fixtures.

Nice, and nuttin wrong with red. I've got an 89 bmw 525i, 56 F100, 69 Mustang and 87 Porsche 951, all red. Recently sold 95 Chivy Suburban that was red. Sometimes red is meant to be.

shop is looking really great MIke.  I am semi-retiring end of January, so will be around this year.  For sure headed to Carlisle this year and probably a couple regional Mustang Shows.

Are you close to Richmond, or where, in Virginia?
