tharrold 10 Report post Posted September 10, 2011 Shops that rebuild pumps should have a way to pressure test them for leaks. I can measure the pulley diameter on my car, if that helps. I believe my pump came from a '69 coupe with factory air. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
LoneWolf2U 136 Report post Posted September 10, 2011 You can spot test the pump, with some fluid in it place your finger over the pressure outlet and spin the pump by hand. If it is in working condition it will push fluid out pushing your finger away from the outlet. As for pully size, a smaller pulley runs the pump faster while a large pulley will slow it down.
