rwcstang... looking good! like those brakes and wheels! what lug nuts did you go with?

thank you! the lugs are just generic open lugs due to the long ARP studs that came in the Vintage Venom brake kit.

What tire sizes you running? Stock suspension? Wondering what is needed to fit those in the wheel wells? I was thinking stock suspension I could only fit a 17x9 with a 275/40 tire in the rear with no suspension of body mods. I don't know. I definately would like to go bigger

they are 245/40/18 (front) and 274/40/18 (rear) the wheels are staggered 18x9/10 wheels. currently to fit modern mustang wheels you will need a spacer or adapter (recommended) if your running stock suspension and brakes. u can go alot more with the rear but you may need to use a BFH to dimple the wheel wells. Some have used 315s in the rear (hopefully they will chime in) while using leafs. As for tire height (series) depends on the brand of tire, as you can see bfgoodrich tends to be on the robust side (which i like) while others that offer the same series tend to be thinner. most likely I will have to roll the fenders but ill determine that once the body has touched the ground, hopefully I won't have to BUT u never know I may need to roll the fenders.

on my set up I have Vintage Venoms front and Rear brake kit which use's the spacer but instead of riding the rotor hat, the spacer is relocated under the rotor and sits on the hub. also, I will be installing Street or Tracks Coil over Suspension.

so 315's can fit tucked in the wheel well? that is crazy. If I knew for sure they would that is what I want

they do fit Im trying to find the thread but i believe they are 17x9/10.5 size wheels.

I was actually looking at your project, very Nice! I like the duck tails but I have always felt the the shelby Duck Tail was a little to tall, Im very picky with my car it took me 2 years to finally say yes on the fr500s lol I wish they would re-make the shelby de mexico tail. I might actually go with this set up instead i know ppl might hate me for this but its from a 68 camaro.. lol

The shelby spoiler isn't as tall as you think. That camaro spoiler is taller than the shelby one

Later to the thread sorry!

I obviously like the way the build is going (based on my green cpe!).

To the rear wheel question: 295's will fit stock! Worst case is 5 mins worth of banging on the forward inner wheel well if it rubs. You usually wont even have to roll the fender lip and there is about 1/4" clearance to the leaf. The recipe from my green coupe is is 18x10" wheel with 6.38" backspace and a 295/35R18 tyre.

My fastback has 315's on an 11" wheel but there you need to cut and widen the whole forward part of the inner wheel well and roll the lip.

Do you have a link or pics? I remember seeing your coupe. The 295 tire fits between the leaf and the fender without rolled lips? That is good to know. I am rolling the lips just in case. I'm going with 17's also. I've seen somewhere that 305's and 315's fit on 17's with mods but I want to find this info again and confirm it also with the wheel and backspacing specs. I don't want to buy some 17x10 or 11 wheels with 315 tires that are no use to me... lol

295's w/o rolled lips or moving the spring:

315's & necessary mods. Absolutely no room left. Panhard bar recommended!

Rear Leaf springs and Bilstein shocks are installed. I also noticed my sway bar bushings were done so I replaced them with polyurethane bushings and now its time to get the exhaust fitted:

shop ran into a couple of snags: 1. one of the side exhaust is touching the axle breather hose. 2. exhaust tips are hitting the shackles. 3. long headers mean i had to lower the p/s cylinder for clearance. lol fun week...but we'll find a way around it. :D
