prayers1 153 Report post Posted September 2, 2011 My Toploader has been rebuilt and this will be a first for me installing it. The entire transmission was repainted. I will be installing a new clutch kit. Do I need to sand down the Bearing Retainer and put some greese on it so that the Throwout bearing will slide back and forth easy OR is putting greese on it a NO NO. Thanks as always for your time and help! John

BuckeyeDemon 211 Report post Posted September 2, 2011 i believe the instructions with the Centerforce throw out bearing i had recommended using a dry graphite lube or lithium grease.
