Standard spring rate for a Mach 1

Recommended Posts

This Mach1 has the 800# performance springs from MustangDepot with the Arning drop to the upper A arms.

They list the spring rates form 700-1000# with a 1 in drop from stock for BB Fords.

I try a pair of those 620's and the front spoiler was 3/4 in off the ground.

And the engine is a 351C, So a BB would have the nose dragging the pavement.

they list those as race springs. i would be shocked if Ford installed an 800 lb/in spring in a BB mach 1.

Big blocks only weigh about 100lbs more than a cleveland. The nose wouldn't be on the ground.

The factory BB springs had a lower rating than the 620s you see commonly sold.
