lincoln8 10 Report post Posted June 26, 2011 Hi, I have a new 408 in my Mach 1 and I am having problems finding a temp sending unit that will register the correct temp on my gauge. I have tried two new sending units and they both read at the top of the gauge (hot). I was thinking of replacing the gauge but was told this is a common problem with the sending units that are available today. The car does not run hot but I hate driving a car with no temp gauge. sleek98 12 Report post Posted June 27, 2011 I went with a cheap aftermarket guage from autozone so I could have a mechanical one. I went through like 4 units and gave up on the factory one.
