WTD; swaybar

Recommended Posts

In 69 only Boss 429 had rear sway bars; 3/4".

In 70 Mach 1's also had sway bars; 1/2". 70 Boss 302's 5/8" and 70 Boss 429's 3/4".

Otherwise not an option.

That being said there's a myriad of aftermarket options.

Thanks for the info. I have a '69 Mach I with 428 CJ. I have the plates installed, would like to find the 1/2 bar.

Do the aftermarket bars fit the factory mounting brackets??

Kaz

70 CJ's stepped up to the 5/8" Boss rear bar I think. So you have 70 brackets? I have not seen an aftermarket bar that uses those shock mount plate brackets. Most hook to the frame rails then the dif. With that in might you might be able to find one though with good pictures. good luck
