Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted September 28, 2009 What type of paint do you guys use for the front rock guard trim that sits in front of the grille? Its the silver paint, painted over the crome trim. Goes up around the inside of the headlight bucket too. Mine has a couple of scratches in the paint and I want to touch it up. Thanks. Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted September 28, 2009 Thanks. I found it too. Any hints on application, since its getting sprayed onto a polished piece of metal?
Mike65 475 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 On my 68 GT Coupe I had many years ago I stripped off the argent paint & left them chrome, I thought it looked better. I am planning on doing that with my 69 Coupe.
Cruzzar 22 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Mask off the polished area and scuff up the rest with some scotchbrite.
Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 I think Ill strip them first and see if I like it. I think there are a couple of scratches that I wanted to cover though.
