t-5 tranny mount

I mounted up my t-5 and with the stock tranny mount it doesnt fit the RMP transmission cross member. Has any one else run into this? Do I need to order a special tranny mount?

I would definitely say, yes, you do need to order one. Check out Mustangs Unlimited, CJ Pony Parts, or any of the large Mustang parts suppliers. I think if you do a quick search on here, you'll find where a few people modified their stock mount to fit the T-5.

I think cupid is confusing the mount with the member as I have never heard/seen of a special mount needed too. Is it possible they sent you the wrong member?

I wouldn't think just any transmission mount would work, he said he used a

RMP cross member, but doesn't state what he took out. C-6, FMX???

I don't really think those would work with a T-5, thought I heard a C-4 would but not sure. I would get one for a T-5 or AOD, I been told they are the same.

When I changed from a C4 to the T-5 I used the same mount. I am using a Modern Driveline cross member.

I checked the RMP cross member and it is for 68-72 mustang and for the t-5 tranny. It bolts in nice. It has to be the mount that goes between the crossmember and tranny that has to be wrong. I will bring it back to carquest this week end and double check.

Contact RMP and see what mount they recommend before you spend any more money. When I did mine I was told to use one from a C4 which I had.

That did it. I was trying to use the mount that came with the tranny (88 mustang) and it would not work. I bought on for a 69 mustang with a C-4 and it fit perfectly. Thanks for the help.

I assumed you meant stock to the car not stock to the donor car the tranny came from.
