yamahasrx700 14 Report post Posted September 18, 2008 Does it matter if the pillar trim is from a fastback or a coupe?

yamahasrx700 14 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 What is the difference? If I am a swap meet how can I tell the difference?
jkskinsfan 19 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Hi yamahasrx700. I don't know what the difference is, but here's a picture showing what the Fastback trim looks like.
Pakrat 1,043 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 I'm not sure what that is hanging but it looks more like the rear components than it does the windshield pillar trim to me. Actually all three are different for hardtop, sportsroof and convertible, I think you can find pics of all three at the CJ Pony website. In a nutshell the fastback window is actually at a different angle and rakes back more than the other two and because the vert has different sunvisor brackets than the hardtop the top portion is different even though the windshield angle is the same. This won't help you identify without a pic of all but that is why they are different.
yamahasrx700 14 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Thanks, They are so close in the pictures I would be afraid to buy them at a swap meet.
jkskinsfan 19 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 The "Hockey Stick" looking thingies are the Windshield Pillar Trim. The middle things go on the sides of the Dash at the Doors, and the other things are rear seat Trim.
