Head light adjustment

Recommended Posts

don't have a pic of the ring handy but it's useless unless you can find a shop that still has one of the headlight aiming machines....not bloody likely. the best way is to park your car facing your garage door or a wall or something and back the car up about 20-25' from the wall and aim the lights so the center of the beam on all 4 is just about 2" below the measured height of the headlight bulbs. you can mark the door or wall with some masking tape at the correct height if needed. just make sure the car is on a level plane when you do this.

it's just an adapter to set the low beam lights with a headlight aimer. basically it just lengthens the headlight aimer tool so it will reach the low beam lights. every car was supposed to come with a set in the trunk but most either got thrown away of left at the service station that adjusted the lights. it's a nice item to have for the trunk of a show car but other than that they're really just worthless pieces of plastic now, functionally anyway since no one uses the old style headlight aimer machines anymore
