coz 108 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 I also am going the Pro-Tour route. My plan is a full TCP / Airide suspension, TCP sub frame, 17/18's on the corners, shaved doors, all electric windows/doors and a EFI Roush 511cid monster engine to go with my Tremec. You need to check out www.pro-touring.com and www.lateral-g.net. Mostly GM guys but you can get ideas. Sorry Fordcarnut but that is Pro-street not Pro-tour.... cphsonic 11 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Still looking... A sound basic 69 FB would also be of interest. Only minor bodywork and new paint should be needed. Thanks fordcarnut. Looking for a car that turns AND goes though! Sounds good coz! I've been stalking lateral-g for 2 years, pro-touring a little less. Wondering about the track worthiness of the Airrides? My 69 Buick Riviera with bags was not exactly a track car (even with 20" wheels ;) ). Still spec'ing my build but I'm going light and strong; twin turbos or Kenne Belll blown small block on BOSS or Dart block (major HP when turned up), EFI, TKO600, coil over front end (TCP?), 9" rear (FAB9?) with mucho aluminum goodies, Wilwood or Brembo brakes, not settled on rear suspension and chassis stiffening yet. Shelby CS56 wheels in 18" if I can make them fit, FR500 if not, R888 rubber in 245 and 295. And the list goes on... :tongue_smilie:
Mace 10 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Coz, How soon are you going to do the air ride? Are you ordering from Pete at Reenmachine? Sorry - Not trying to highjack this post
coz 108 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Air Ride probably won't start until the winter. That is a lot of money when you add everything up. There's the TCP/Air Ride suspension at 3K an axle, new Wilwood discs all around with 6 piston shoes at 1k per axle, new rims and tires (17/18') 3K, new brake lines, etc... I bet I'm looking at 10-12k just in parts. However, there is an outside chance I go real crazy and pull the shock towers. If so then I will ditch the TCP setup and go with an Art Morrison or custom made frame. That will really shoot me into the big bucks - not sure I can swing that.... Not really going through ReenMachine. He offers retail pricing only so why not go directly to TCP or through a high end restorer I know in Orlando....
