bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Compression is right at 8.7 to 1 reallly? maybe it's just the headers popping that made it sound that way. mine is around 9.5:1, according to Ford and it is a 100% stock short block with only new rings and bearings and stock heads with only a mild cut to clean them up, around .005" taken off so it shouldn't affect the compression much.
