The part I'm looking for is the Bulletin Board System. It was clunky and a lot of junk, but there were a lot of, well, fomoco guys there.

It looks to me Ford Motor Company has bought FoMoCo.com from the FoMoCo.com Obsolete.

Yes, I noticed the other threads about Ford 'reclaiming' their name(s), but I need this FoMoCo Obsolete thing for a very pointed purpose. It's kinda nice to see what was happening then, but combing 100+ pages is the suck.

The owner/webmaster/whatever did start up a new board but it doesn't appear to be as active maybe as before due to the change:

I dont think they can because fomoco is a virtual server in the phpbbnow.com domain.

Really? That is interesting. I did get the cookie cutter reply back from Ford in regard to the subject back then. Something about 'protecting their trademark'. I wouldn't think Bramlett at Mustangs Plus would be making such a big deal out of it if he wasn't dealing with the issue.. but then again it might drum up some business.

 

If they wanted however, I am sure they would go after anyone using FoMoCo, Mustang, etc... stupid but possible.

I'd hate to see that. There are a ton of great shops out there that you really can't identify. Wild Horses...Pony's It's really unclear if you're looking at a go-fast shop, or a tack shop. It's a shame because due to the production length of these cars, you have to be able to identify them all, since they can get speciallized. (the difference between finding a S/C for your 03, and the stock exhaust for your 65...I don't think any shop has both.)
