69 Coupe de jour 10 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Hey guys, I'm changing the valve covers on my Windsor tomorrow and thought I would check the valve adjustment. I have about 1500 miles on the motor and have alot of valve noise. Can someone tell me how to do this?
ForceFed70 14 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Do you have solid lifters and cam? I don't think the hydrolic valvetrain was adjustable in stock form. Been a while tho as I had the machine shop put in threaded studs years ago..
buening 63 Report post Posted September 11, 2006 I agree if they are stock heads with the push in studs then they are not adjustable. The nuts are torqued down to specs when the lifter is off the cam lobe.
