? 69 convert 1/4 windlace

This may be particular to converts.

 

After fitting the Shelby air scoops I am replacing the vertical 1/4 panel windlace with aftermarket pieces. The worn original windlace did not go up all the way to the top of the interior trim panel + there is a hole for a sheet metal screw at the top of the jam. The head of the screw would face the front of the car.

 

Am I missing a trim piece there or does the windlace go all the way around the top & end at the trim panel window whisker & does a sheet metal screw go through the windlace at the top to keep it in place?

 

Any help appreciated.

I belive this is what you are looking for, 1/4 post windlace. It's a little different to the normal windlace.

I do have the windlace, just wondering about a finish bezel at the top that may be missing.

Mine's a coupe but that windlace does have a screw holding it at the top. But as you said your's is a drop top so I thing the panel back there is different. Mine is in pieces at the moment so sorry no photos. Maybe some one else out the can get a pic for you?

Thanks Spoofty, I'll do the screw thing. If Ford thinks its good for a coupe It will be good for my driver.
