How fast do you think it would run?

Ok well I am sorta planning out how i want to build the engine. And was wondering what you guys think it would do in the 1/4 (its not a track car, but ill head over there for fun a couple times)

 

1969 coupe

302 stock

AFR 165 cc non emissions legal heads

Holly 650 cfm carb

(not sure on the cam looking for recommendations) but E303 cam 220/220 at .5 lift i think it said

Edelbrock "Performance RPM" 302

3.5 rear differential

either t-5 trans or aod (calculate it as aod)

some shorty ceramic headers

and an aluminum radiator =)

 

to go along with 245/45/z17s (or somewhere around there)

 

Also if you think a different thing here or there would make a big difference please tell me, i dont know that much about this just going off whats "good" according to magazines and what i've heard people say.

 

so how fast 1/4?

 

estimated hp/torque?

Looks like a good combo. The only thing I would recommend is more gear. A 302 wont like 5th gear too much with a 3.5 rear, and you may as well take advantage of OD.

 

I'd go 3.89 or 4.11 even with an OD tranny and a small block

 

I run 3.70's in my big block with a Tremec 5 speed and I am planning to go 3.879 or 4.11 myself. I dont see 5th gear until idle at 65 mph. If I were shift at redline I'd be peeling the paint off the car before I got to 5th LOL
