302 2 brl carb adjustment

Ok,

 

So now my new engine is running and the Idle is a bit rough. I checked timing, vacuum lines and I want to adjust carb. I know the two screws in the bottom front are the mixture screws, where is the idle mixture screws? Is there one?

 

So remembering from back in 1978 to the last time I adjusted a carb you hook up a tach, keep making it rich until it hits the fastest idle and starts to slow down then lean it back to almost the fastest idle right? (So that is it is not to lean)

the only external adjustments are the 2 idle mixture screws and the idle speed screw on the throttle lever. but basically, yes, adjust the idle mixture screws until you get the highest idle and adjust the idle speed screw to get the correct idle speed and repeat the process as many times as needed until you can't get any more out of it. it will probably take 2 or 3 times to get adjusted correctly.
