EastYorkStang 68 Report post Posted February 13 Thinking of upgrading mine to 3 point front seat belts. Are there any available with Ford style latches ?
rwcstang 214 Report post Posted February 13 I have the scott drake that looks like the 69-70 buckles. The buckle is smaller than the OE, quality is not great, you definitely need to enlarge the mounting hole for the bolts to be installed properly. Also, If your tall and set the seat all the way back, the lower part of the seat will interfere with the belt retractor and after awhile the plastic brakes off and won't retract sometimes. the belt length is much shorter than OE Design so if you are a big guy like myself, these are not it, you may need to install an extender bracket. With the OE design, I had much more wiggle room. I'm sure others will chime in, but I'm actually looking for a different set or just might go back to the OE as Im not happy with Scott drakes quality and fitment. TexasEd 213 Report post Posted February 18 I also have the Scott Drake ones manufactured by Seatbelt Solutions. I did a video of the install and it came out good. I like them. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCeaaECx_vw/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== 1 Mach1 Driver reacted to this
RPM 1,274 Report post Posted February 18 I used seat belts from Wesco. https://www.wescoperformance.com/ While I didn't buy them, I'm pretty sure I saw buckles similar to original mustang style when I bought mine.
AusTex70 79 Report post Posted February 18 I've used Wesco on several builds. Wonderful customer service. If you do the three point, order the long sash. https://www.wescoperformance.com/long-sash-seat-belt-starburst.html 1 RPM reacted to this
kblagron 30 Report post Posted February 23 I used, Wesco, short sash. I could see where the longer one would be better, but the shorter one works fine.
