Lucky B 0 Report post Posted November 22 Finishing up my motor on my 1969 351W/4spd Mach I. I was sold a pair of JBA long tube headers and told they would fit with my stock steering assembly. Turns out that's not the case and if I want to use them I need to change to the Borgeson steering box, a different bell housing and a cable clutch. Is anyone aware of a set of long tube header that will work? Really bummed and hoping someone has a viable option that will work. Thanks.
Busch 8 Report post Posted November 23 http://www.fordpowertrain.com/FPAindex/Mustang1.htm I think they might be fairly expensive these days, but the F.P.A. headers worked just fine on my car back when it had a Windsor. I used the stock z-bar with a Lakewood bellhousing. I currently have those F.P.A. headers on a Windsor in a 68 Cougar with a Lakewood bellhousing and stock z-bar. The Cougar does not have power steering anymore but those headers do work fine with power steering.

TexasEd 200 Report post Posted November 29 This is why I went with JBA shorty headers on my 351W build. I have factory power steering, cable clutch and power brakes.
smh00n 90 Report post Posted yesterday at 10:44 AM I have FPA on my 302 with Borgeson and TKO. They fit. End of story. Plus, being long tube they made a whole heap more torque than the JBA shorties that were on there. Ceramic coat keeps it all cool. They were not cheap but buy once, buy right certainly applied here.
