Tim1969 0 Report post Posted October 5 I bought a 1969 Mustang and the passenger side dash bezel has a square clock. I am having difficulty finding a replacement or even another car with this style clock. Any advice? It looks like this (not mine but similar).
ThePoose 40 Report post Posted October 8 My 69 GT had the same clock. Years ago, I swapped it out for the blank dash piece because the clock didn't work. As far as I know, there are still no replacements. The rectangular replacements are for 71-73 and don't fit 69 even though they're listed as such. A watch maker or clock repair person, if you can find such a person anymore, can possibly fix or upgrade to a quartz movement and get it operating. Quartz might require separate batteries, which means pulling that panel off every so often. But honestly, I didn't look that hard into it. It was easier to just eliminate it. The quartz kits on ebay only cover the Mach I style clock. Clock repair on the interwebs: https://www.clocksandgauges.com/clock-service.html My original disappeared over the years. I wish I could find it. Looks like they're going for $250-$500 on ebay. Which is a lot less than the last one I saw at a swap meet.
