Roloc discs

I’m looking to purchase some Roloc disc. Amazon has benchmark for a good price. What grits should I get? Amazon has 24 to 120 grit discs. I’ll be using then to remove paint & anything else I need

40 should work if you only need them for paint removal.

Finer grits cake up pretty fast ,180 - 80 is what I use . I buy them by the box from my local auto paint supplier. Cheaper disks don't last long at all so I use 3M

If you are going to strip paint from relatively flat parts, I recommend surface conditioning tool like this one.

Stripping drum removes paint real easy and it lasts a long time compared to roloc discs. Only down side is it is on the heavier side but eats up paint and surface rust without clogging the drum.

I use it to strip paint of the whole car.

I have that tool. Was looking for something a little smaller to get into the tight spots. Grind some welds to

This is what I use to grind down the bead on welds. It takes only the high spot down really easily to either run another bead, or to sand down the area taking little material from the panel.

I use it for getting down in the rain gutter and inside the trunk drip rail ,but I love the roloc disks on a flat area used with a 90* die grinder . Those mini belt sanders are also great and you would be surprised what all you can do with those .

Yep. I thought they were a gimmick, until I used one. A must have for hard to get to areas.

I watched our local machine shop polish down the welds on a stainless steel table they were building ,that is when I decided I needed one ,you can get some fine detailed grinding with one ,just make sure to get the 3 M belts ,they last about 5 times longer than the cheap belts at harbor freight. I bought my mini belt grinder from harbor freight and it works great !
