You guys with a 70, I read somewhere that the 70 does not have a cigarette lighter on the front of the box- is this true, and if so is it just blank? I'm planning on replacing the lighter with a power window switch for the passenger side, and adding a USB port, and it would be easier if the area where the lighter goes was just blank. Mach1 Driver 596 Report post Posted September 18 Thanks Mike. After your post I called Daniel Carpenter and found that they do not have a 70 version. She mentioned that its not their tooling- that's interesting. I'm also going to put two fuse blocks beneath the box, and make a trap door in the bottom for access. I'll have to make the depth of the compartment shallower. I don't want to sacrifice my original, and besides I might make a mistake, so I'll be getting the reproduction to play with. I'm going stealth mode and hiding as many modifications as possible. As the ignition switch is on the column on a 70, the wiper switch of 70 is at ignition location of 69 and cigarette lighter is at wiper switch location of 69 for both console and non-console 70s.
