How do I delete messages to clean out my file so I can receive private messages?

Need to clean up my old private messages so folks can PM  me . How can this be done?

Go to your inbox. On left there will be topics of conversations with a box. Tick the box for the specific conversation you want to delete and choose delete. Or open a conversation, on top right, click options and choose delete conversation.
