Her69fastback 3 Report post Posted September 21, 2021 I’m looking at buying all the rubber seals for the car now. I’m looking at retiring in 3 years. I want to buy everything I can now while I’m still working. I’m looking at NPD products. The seals will be stored in a dry heated & cooled place. Is this a good idea or not? Brian Conway 264 Report post Posted September 21, 2021 Just my opinion; might as well buy the ones your going to need now. Quality is probably not going to get any better and they may disappear altogether ? Brian
Mach1 Driver 560 Report post Posted September 21, 2021 Many people recommend Daniel Carpenter from NPD, but ask them what is their best.
Her69fastback 3 Report post Posted September 21, 2021 I’m going to do all the body & paint when I retire? That’s why I’m asking if I buy everything now will it still be good to use? The rubbers will be stored in the original packaging.
Kris 90 Report post Posted September 21, 2021 Yes the rubber should still be good if you store it properly. I did that with my convertible I’m working on. Some of the rubber seals I purchased over 8yrs ago and are all still in perfect condition now that I’m putting them on the car. I stored all mine in nice plastic totes in their original packages in my shed. I haven’t had any that have deteriorated at all. You should be good.
