lalojamesliz 56 Report post Posted July 5, 2021 I'm getting my 69 ready to install the coilover kit I ordered with the 3 link and I need to put the rear jack stands where I could leave them for a extended time (like a month+) and not have them in the way for the install or it could mess something up. I installed convertible inner rockers but I still need to be sure. Is this a safe place? Thanks guys

RPM 1,190 Report post Posted July 6, 2021 You gonna be able to get to the front leaf bolts with the stands there? That front leaf bolt is also where your rear lower control arms mount right? For a while I had the rear of my 69 supported at the back end of the frame rails. I've also supported the rear at the front of the rear frame rails. With your chassis stripped it doesn't weight much. Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted July 6, 2021 You can move towards the front more if you place a piece of wood on top of the stand to spread out the load 1 RPM reacted to this
pw520a 19 Report post Posted July 6, 2021 wouldn't supporting it where the tire jack would go on the pinch weld work? that is how i lift with a quick jack maybe I'm doing it wrong? 1 RPM reacted to this
Mike65 475 Report post Posted July 6, 2021 When the rear end was out of my Coupe I supported it there for a while, I just put a piece of 3/4" plywood between the rear torque box & the jack stand. 1 RPM reacted to this
