  2. HiI have just purchased a 1969 Mustang GT Convertible. It had 70's mag wheels on it and I have just purchased a set of original 14x6 GT rims to bring it back to original. The original tires on it were FR70x14. I need to buy new tyres for it and am tossing up between 225x60x14 or 215x70x14. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks Chris
  3. Hey, I'm fairly new to the site and haven't had my mustang for very long. I am looking at buying new rims and found 17x9s, but I am not sure if they will fit in the front and rear, and if there has to be any modifications done to make them fit, I'm 17, and pay for this myself, so I hope there are no big modifications required to accommodate the wider rims. I know there are a lot of threads on here about wheel size and some were very helpful, but none mentioned wheels as wide as 9 in. in the front, and it had me worried. I am still a little clueless on some of the terminology as well, so any additional advice is much appreciated. By the way I drive a 69 coup, 302. So anybody who drives the same, I'm willing to listen to any wheel combinations that have worked for you in the past. Thank you
  4. Fellow Enthusiasts, I just ran into a little problem when trying to fit the 2005 Gt rims on the 69. The back fits perfect and looks sweet. The front touches the top part of the suspension and does not allow the wheels to turn. I purchased the 1/4 in wheel spacers. That did not work because the threading does not go out far enough for the nuts to catch. AutoZone did not sell any type of lug nuts that could make this work. I tried 2 different sets. Can anybody help me with a solution? Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Take care.
