  1. On my thrust damage to the crank and bearings, a couple of fellas believe excessive high pressure in the fmx causes thrust damage like mine. I've searched high and low to find a high pressure port to hook up a psi gauge on the tranny to check pressure. I'm hoping we have at least one knowledgeable guy here who has some good info for me. Thanks
  2. From Kenneth Collins on his FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/badshoe/ "I’m extending my special deal through Dec. 2017, I’m offering a $5.00 discount on all single DVD and download titles. They are now $25.95 for download or $30.95 for US sales ($50.95 on Canadian sales) with shipping included. To take advantage of this deal, simply select one title under the special deal discount link, thanks……Ken." Bad Shoe Productions How To Video Series - Ford Transmissions & Rears I am only a happy customer having purchased his FMX video's and having Ken reply to my stupid transmission questions on his FB page. You may ask him questions too, even if you have not purchased any of his products.
  3. Hello To All, After driving the car for more than an hour, when I come to a stop and get ready to go again I have to bump the gas in order for it to engage or loosen up. Any ideas? Pigbait69
  4. I have a 69 Mach 1 project car with and FMX transmission. The TAG numbers are: PHB E C9ZAA19C I know that the the PHB E is a FMX for a 351 2V which matches the car. I think the C is for C9Z is for 69 Mustang. The question I have; Anyone know what the "AA19C" is ? Thanks, Denis
  5. Hello, first post here. It sounds simple maybe but not so obvious to me about the oil fliter placement. I have a FMX C9Z and when I took of the oil pan the filter came with and dropped in the pan. After cleaning the filter trying to put it back but something is strange about the clip at the end. It could be that the clip is just bend. the c shaped part looks like it should go all the way over the edge from the filter but another pin next to it is preventing that. That pin should it be against the filter outside or under the edge? That pin is taller than the c part. I will include a picture. Thanks regards Ron
  6. Hi, I have a 1969 Ford Mustang with a FMX gearbox. I have accidently put in too much oil and am having trouble getting it into gear now and the oil pressure is way high. I have tried to use a hand pump to sick the oil out and also by removing the oil pan but this still doesnt let out enough oil to get it to the correct level. I have been told that there is a bolt on the main box that when undone will drain the oil to the correct level. Does anyone know where this bolt is as there are a lot on the box and I do not want to undo the wrong one. Any help will be apreciated.
