  1. Hey, Quick question for the experts, im looking at getting my headliner done in my coupe. I do not wish to take on this job myself, so im farming it out. I have read that you must remove the front and rear windshields, however the upholstery shop im looking at does not believe you need to? Does anyone have a definitive answer. Also they are talking $95 an hours for labor and expecting 4-5 hrs, is this a fair price. Thanks

  5. Hello All, Im looking to redo my headline on my 69 coupe. Fist question, can somebody give me a ballpark price so i know what to expect? ill probably be buying the headline and associate parts. I live in the philadelphia area, so i dont know how much that will effect price. Second, can someone help me put together a parts list so i can provide the company with what is needed as to not have it cost more or get crap products, or even miss something. I would appreciate it greatly.

  7. Hello, Im looking for some help with finding the correct side mirror for my 69 coupe. I have tried two variations form CJ and both have not fit. I dont know if the PO tried to fabricate something different or im just overlooking something. I know i can make one or the other fit but im not trying to get into body work. Attached is a link to both mirrors i have tried as well as the hole placement for my car. I would appreciate it if you could attach a link to the mirror you believe to be correct. BTW There is no interior remote to speak of. Thanks for your help.   8. My Apologies CJ Pony Kit, not sure what more info you need? Just let me know and ill provide what i can. Right now i have a 12V constant ran off of the fuse block, with three wire off the original bulb, 2 black, and a colored each side has a diff color if i remember correctly left is blue and orange and right is green and yellow. 4 wires ran off the led board on the left white black yellow and red which i have to the constant, and 3 wire off the right board red yellow and black i believe. Any help would be appreciated

  10. Hello All, I looking at doing an oil change this will be the first since i bought my stang. engine is stock 351W. I have read a lot of preferred brands and weights, as well as additives. i have no engine mods and am not looking at doing any in the immediate future. So what do you suggest on Brand weight and additives.
  11. Maybe a stupid question, but im looking at replacing my original snorkel type air filter with aftermarket such as k & N. with that being said were does the oil cap to air cleaner hose go. Is it necessary anymore with an aftermarket one. And if not what was the original intent of this hose. Thanks

  13. Looking at fabricating my own package tray. My problem is finding a LED 3rd brake light. Anyone know where I can find on, im not looking at spending a 100 dollars either. And if anyone has ever done this before some tips on wiring would be appreciated. Thanks
  14. Folks, Fairly new to this game, and I am looking to upgrade some engine parts. I have a 69 coupe 351w 2v. I am looking to get into a new intake as well as carb. Through some research I have narrowed it down to Weiand Stealth 8023 and looking into 600 650 carb prob holley, also have been looking at edelbrock performer rpm. What’s your take on the two manifolds. My next question is does this carb sound good or go with something else. Im not looking at drag, more of aweekend driver. And most importantly im looking for a combo with will provide no hood clearance issues. I am currently deployed so I cannot measure anything right now, this is why im looking for your advice. Basically what set up will provide me no clearance issues, to include spacers or no, and air filter if other than standard ie drop etc. Thanks

  16. Now that i have identified the part and put a name to it. W/C channel on a 69 coupe, anyone have any advice on where i can buy one, either new or used, other than ebay (which i cant find one)or swap meet (they dont have those in Iraq).
  17. Got a few question about a 3rd brake light / package tray. I see MP’s package tray products, and yes they are nice but I think one can do it for themselves for a quarter of the asking price. To begin has anyone ever done this before, if so any tips. Second where can a get a third brake light nothing too big or fancy just a basic 3x2 box, lit by LED, and will tying this in create any power issues. And lastly anyone have any input of wiring into brake light I have to imagine its fairly simple anyone done this. thanks
  18. Hello: Im looking a upgrading my front drum to disk, but don't want to spend a fortune. I came across these, does anyone have any experience with them. Is this a good products, quality, and good instructions? The site walks your car specifics down to give you the correct product which i like, howvere it refers to power steering, i do not know if this include rack and pinion powers sterring or a full PS redo kit. I have R&P PS any thoughts Thanks

  21. Ok folks, Sorry to bring this up as i know this horse has been beaten but i have a tire question. To start im looking at ordering magnum 500 wheels prob. 15x7 possibly 15x8 pending your advice. I have a 69 coupe stock, with drum all around and will be updating to disk shortly. With that being said can i fit 15x8 all around with no rubbing? I like the larger rear wheel but want to still be able to rotate. If i can fit 15x8 what tire size will give me no rub issues? If 15x8 is not doable all around than 15x7 all around what size, i see much talk about 235/60/15 bfg (which i want) will this be a good fit. Next would be any advice on where to order from I’m currently looking at cj due to the fact that they have wheel/tire combo. Anyone else know who sells a combo. I am almost certain i need the combo because i don’t want to track numerous packages and shipments as i am in Iraq, and i don’t need multiple packages showing up at my door at home. The only minor problem is that cj doesn’t sell this wheel tire combo in the 235/60/15. So please post your thoughts, i do not have much time to research due to lack of internet so I’m counting on your input, and please keep in mind i cannot afford any rubbing issue as I’m trying to get this car to hit the road next summer when i get home.   22. Hello, Im sort of a newbie here, so please bare with me. I recently bought a 69 coupe 351W A/T. Over the next year or so i am gathering info mainly from the experts on this sight. I cannot do anything with my car right now as i am deployed however i am starting a to do list and looking for some help. I am starting with new wheels and tires (already have them picked) and a front disk brake conversion. After that is done im sort of at a what next point. I am somewhat on a budget but im looking for the most bang for the buck. My thoughts are below. Air cleaner - i have the original with snorkel (worth upgrading?) Carb Headers Valve covers Exhaust manifold Gauges This is a starter list but i hope it starts the ball rolling. Basically im looking at what will provide me with most bang for buck and why. Also looking if it is avail for a chrome trim kit (complete car) i know i can get all chrome individually but looking if anyone knows of a package and could save me time. Or at least a good chrome polish as some of my chrome is slightly rusted and or pitted. And if anyone knows a good online store other than CJ Pony that i can take a look at please don’t hesitate.

  24. Hello all, First post here, i am a soon to be a new 1969 mustang onwer. I will be buying a 351W coupe within the week. Generally in good shape, and when i say that i mean minor exterior replacements ie. turn signal indicators and such. I am looking to do some upgrades or mods. I know this will be a very very general question, and most will say that they need more info. Im not looking to do any engine work immediately more in the lines of brakes (going to disk) rims tire, poss exhaust. Im open for disk conversion kit recomendations, as well as suggeested tire sizes. Currently the rear weels are very wide and stick out past the fender which rub when going over bumps, so im looking at staying wide but not too wide. What should be my first upgrade b/c i know disk brakes at least what i have seen require 5 lug rims as opposed to four. So i guess im asking for recomendations and priorirty list. I do not want to buy rims and tires and then have to replace them when i go to disk. Thanks in advance
