Have a set of highback bucket seats (standard trim - dark green) fr a 1970 Mustang. Frames & rails excellent, some damage to drivers seatback cushion, cracks to some vinyl covers. $160.

I wouldn't trade my Cleveland for a a sack of Gold.(well if it was a full sack maybe)Make that a BIG, FULL sack!

The 63A on Marti report denotes base trim, vinyl seats, plain door panels. Your interior pic is fr a Grande or Mach I.

And a question, what is the official name of these clips for body panel bolts? Where is the best place to buy extras?Nice car & great history! Around here we call those 'speed nuts'. Most parts outlets would have; hopefully in the size you need.

Mustangstofear is right according to the rear quarter trim it appears that your car had the fold down seat. That would explain why you don't have the fixed brackets. So I guess now you have the decision of finding the rest of the fold down or just make it a fixed seat. Personally if it came as a fold down I believe I would try to put it back that way. DaveHis Marti report doesn't list SportDeck in the options, nor does the black seat & paneling match the Marti report (BF - Medium Ginger). None of that stuff is original to 116572. It had a fixed rear seat.

Im in the process of converting the deluxe blue interior on my sportsroof to high back seats. Im looking for a pair of front high backs in any condition. I would also be interested in possibly trading my interior for one from a mach??? there in really good condition. Let me know what ya got!Have a pr of '70 highbacks (fold latch lever different location). Excellent frames, rails; poor covers; so-so cushioning. $160.

The top number is called the engineering number. The bottom one is the block's casting date. Your block was cast on July 27, 1969. 1969 351W blocks are desirable. Nice score.Sorry, D9 means block was originally designed for the 1979 model yr. Strange that a '79 part would be cast in 1969.

So that means that my particular 351 is a 1979 from a full size car.(D) 197x (9) 1979 (A) Full Size/Galaxy
Ford casting #s are often misinterpreted as meaning the car they came from. Not always true. A Ford casting # more accurately means the car it was originally designed for; the "A" 3rd digit would mean the Ford division that paid for development of the casting. A D9AE engine casting would have been used across all Ford/Mercury vehicles, including light trucks from 1979 onward til the next redesign.

302 & 351W are different? Both use the same bolt pattern.

I've seen one up close in person; you're getting what you pay for. Nothing compares to the original.

I WTB a set of front seats with seat tracks/sliders. OEM seats do not really matter to me. The current seats that are in the car have a too high of a front profile and make it a pita wedging myself between the seat and steering wheel.I would prefer seats that at least have head rests with a front low profile to make it easier to get in and out and to have an un-obstructive view of the guages.
Thanks in advance!
Have a good set of '70 highbacks here:

Hello all, I have a 1970 Mustang that came from the factory with a shaker, and unfortunately - the setup is long missing. From what I was told, it was stolen years ago and the owner at the time just put a regular scoop over the hole and a parts store air cleaner... Anyway, my car is originally a 351-2v car though the base should be the same for 4v. Please let me know what you have and how much you want for it. I have a scoop and midplate already but would buy a complete setup if necessary. Thanks, JasonI have a complete 351C 'Shaker' & hood but I'm a long ways away in Canada. Hood is straight, needs some work; 'Shaker' itself is VG. EMail direct: djjsc(at)juno(dot)com for details/pics.

Looking for a NICE use OEM Ford "non dual" exhaust rear valance. No cutouts! Must be pretty much in perfect condition (no rust, bondo, dents). Ready to strip and repaint! No aftermarket plz. Let me know what u have and price. Thanks!I have an OEM rear valence correct for '69 or '70 BOSS Mustang. 44+ yrs old so don't expect perfection. Someone was kind(?) enough to paint it at one time; original colour shows around RH backup mount. Stamped 10 21 68, making it date correct for early/mid 1969 production. If original dated Ford sheet metal is important this may be what you need. $40 plus ride fr S0K 1E0 Canada. Direct EMail is djjsc(at)juno(dot)com for pics. Hope this helps!
