My mustang has stopped charging... Replaced the battery cables, solenoid and battery a few weeks ago and it was running fine.
Battery (red top optima) went dead and autozone replaced with a new one as it tested bad. Still no charge (showing 12.4 volts with multimeter) so I took the alternator off and had it tested--passed.
Thought it might be the regulator so I replaced it. The current regulator pigtail was spliced in some time ago so I tested the continuity between the alternator and all respective spots on the regulator and the battery--all good.
61 amp alternator, factory tach with warning lights, 351w-2v. The car starts and runs fine with the battery charged...any ideas?
Thanks
