  1. Look at post #328 in my build thread link.
  2. I'm really happy with my Streetortrack coilover setup. Super easy to install and rides fantastic!
  3. Very nice! What kind of wood/board did you use?
  4. If I remember correctly when I did mine that area has a fairly close fit under the fan shroud. It should be on the passenger side connection. I was able to angle mine down just a bit when I snugged it down. I don't have any pictures though :(
  5. When I was looking for them I stumbled across a company in Ohio that imports them but they are expensive. Just google minilite wheels and you'll find them. Recommend ebay and craigslist and hit up other forums as well. That's how I ended up with mine...which are an Australian version. I know I recently saw someone selling some shelby minilites on a forum but I can remember which one. Do they have to be authentic minilites? Vintage Wheel Works sells a good looking wheel that is similar to the original minilite.
  6. I did it to my car. I tried a couple of the electronic kits that are integrated into the switch but for some reason they never seemed to work or wouldn't last long. I ended up getting one like the first link you have. It actually came out of a 70's something Ford truck. Works great and is plug and play. The module is the brains for the different speeds. That second link just looks like a normal wiper switch, but without looking at my original I couldn't tell you for sure. And the price for that second one is ridiculous...stay away from that one regardless.
  7. Minilites! VWW has a set that looks pretty close. In fact, look at Powershift's wheels...I think those are the one.
  8. I wish I had good news for you. I'm playing over in the desert for a while so nothing exciting for the car. I tried to get things going before I left but ran into problems. I had to install the intake twice and kept getting coolant in the oil. I did all the things you're supposed to do with sealing it and stuff but for some reason couldn't get it right. I'm going to just take it to a shop when I get home and have them do it, plus I'll put the AFR heads on that I want. On top of that I cracked the base of the carb, so had to get a new one. Then when I finally got the carb all setup the car smoked which led me to take the intake off again. I just ran out of time and basically gave up when I saw the traces of coolant. Not enough to damage things and I did change the oil. I was very frustrated to leave the car like that. I have new leaf springs and bilsteins waiting for the rear as well.
  9. What condition are the turn signal housings? Also, is the window trim the little piece about 2" long that curves and goes in the corner or is it the longer thin piece?
  10. All the above...minus the heat...didn't think of that. I found a screwdriver that was just the correct size and I would chisel out about 1/4" at a time.
  11. Are the rocker panel moldings in good shape? Do you have the bottom steering column cover? It mounts under the dash with a screw on each side of the column through a tab on each side. Should be 2 metal clips visible when you remove it. Also looking for the 2 plastic pieces for the driver and passenger side that go along the inside of the windshield. Mine have broken tabs at the top.
  12. Looking for the lower steering column cover of a '69. It should have a tab on each side for a screw and also 2 metal clips. For a coupe do you have the equivalent of a fastback boomerang molding for the rear windows? Looking for a stock set without pitting. The repops don't fit well.
  13. Here's a picture of a Champagne Gold Mach 1 I based my coupe on. My car is the 2nd pic.
  14. FWIW, I run mine from the alt and I get full voltage at the choke.
  15. Look at what I'm finally doing!
  16. I was looking at doing that setup as well, but after talking to them I decided to spend the little extra for the coilover. The geometry is just better and the car handles great. Of course, it will with the stage 4 as well. I suppose it is a preference.
  17. Look what showed up today! Can't wait!
  18. I don't know which springs, but I really like my Bilsteins. They are totally worth the money. I've had Gas-a-just and GR2s and there is simply no comparison.
  19. http://www.cjponyparts.com/armrest-pad-clips-armrest-pad-clips-1969-1970/p/HW617/ Is this what you're talking about?
  20. Have any of you found a quality setup that allows for the exhaust to go out the rear? I like the streetortrack setup (I have their front) but I don't want a side exhaust. I also don't know how to weld or own any welding equipment, so I need something that will bolt in. Sorry for the hijack!
  21. I have Minilites in 15.x7 Something a little different but still a classic look.
